About us
Author, Michelle Armstrong
Michelle is a wife and mom of three wild boys who inspired this story, born from watching them and their cousins spend endless hours exploring the outdoors being wild and free. She graduated with a degree in English Literature from San Francisco State University and now lives in the Inland Northwest, where she enjoys CrossFit, being outdoors, finding peaceful moments in the chaos of life, and working at her boys’ school. Michelle co-created this book with her friend and the book’s illustrator, Jessie Rhoads. They CrossFit together, work together, adventure together and both love bringing stories to life.
Illustrator, Jess Rhoads
Originally from the Black Hills of South Dakota, Jess now lives in Washington State. When she isn’t teaching art, drawing or coloring, she loves traveling with her family, learning to golf and spending time with her Maltipoo, Rigby.
